Family Events CT Weekend JulyThe summer fun continues! It’s one of our favorite times of the year and we know that every activity can’t be done or every place visited but our goal is to give you choices for Family Events CT Weekend July into August:

Friday, July 31

Farmers Market in Farmington, held weekly this summer Fridays 2-5 p.m. featuring fresh, local produce, prepared foods, baked goods, Italian ice, coffee, pottery, and more! Read about more event and ways to participate on Farmers Markets 2015

Hairspray Jr. Musical opening night in charming Collinsville “welcomes you to the 60’s!” produced and performed by local youth! Support this growing summer theater arts program (and join next year).

Saturday, August 1

It’s 1st Saturday at Lyman Allyn Art Museum, New London – this month build your own terrarium! *FREE*

Also time for Connecticut Historical Society’s monthly family program:  Toys and Treats Backyard Party *FREE*

A Taste of Carribean and Jerk Festival offers local authentic Caribbean cuisine, cool island beverages, spectacular costumes and dance, and island rhythms bringing a festive atmosphere to Hartford’s Connecticut Riverfront. *FREE*

Shoreline Jewish Festival on the Guilford Green *FREE*

LAST DAY Made with Code Party exclusively for girls ages 11-17 (yes)!  Learn how to write computer code that will launch any interest you have.  No experience needed. FREE but RSVP because space is limited.  Hosted by Girls for Technology, a new service organization dedicated to promoting STEM education for girls.
