Space Expo at New England Air Museum visitors will experience aerospace science and technology up close through a variety of hands-on activities, demonstrations, and presentations, as well as meet pioneers from the aerospace industry. Connecticut’s own NASA Astronaut Rick Mastracchio will participate. In addition a chance to have a close encounter with the right stuff, this action packed day offers an array of hands-on activities for visitors of all ages. Visitors can try on a space suit, interface with a number of aerospace exhibitors, meet some well known intergalactic droids and characters, view planetarium shows, fly a Space Shuttle simulator at the NEAM Virtual Flight Center, touch a space rock, participate in out of this world experiments and science demonstrations, build and launch straw rockets, and much more!
Group Admission: You may purchase discounted group admission for Space Expo. Your group must have 10 or more participants to qualify for the group admission rate. Groups must arrive together at check-in. Registration is non-refundable and payment must be received by April 2, 2018. The group rates are $13 for adults ages 15 and up, and $8 for youth ages 4-14. Children ages 3 and under are free. You can register your group online here. Groups may purchase general admission the day of the event. The New England Air Museum is the largest aviation museum in New England comprised of three large public hangars, outdoor exhibits, and more than 100 aircraft ranging from early airships and flying machines to supersonic jets and helicopter. NEAMs mission is to celebrate and preserve New England’s air and space heritage. The museum offers special events and programs including open cockpits, flight simulators, and tons of hands-on family fun.
